The genesis of the table lamp FLAKES by Hanne Willmann

The designer Hanne Willmann was inspired in her design of the table lamp FLAKES by a visit to the oldest glass manufactory in the Bavarian Forest. Captivated by the art of glassblowing and the different processing methods she developed the table lamp FLAKES form the traditional technique of scattering individual grains of coloured glass onto transparent glass. She brings this technique into a straightforward form, playing with transparency and opacity to create a poetic design.
